Our Vision

At Volta, we strive to transform the way individuals living in small spaces organize their clothing. Our skinny dresser with accordion-style drawers is designed to maximize space while providing effortless access to your belongings.

Our Story

We have experienced the struggles of living in a college dorm. For some of us, the struggles have carried over to apartments. It was time to create a solution to save space and organize clothes more efficiently.

Competition

College students currently rely on a mix of traditional and improvised storage solutions, none of which are designed specifically for cramped dorm environments. Standard wooden dressers offer decent capacity and a flat surface but are bulky, heavy, and consume valuable floor space. Plastic drawer towers and modular cube systems are more affordable and lightweight, but they are essentially just an extra dresser. Under-bed storage bins save space but make access inconvenient, requiring students to bend, pull, and dig through piles of clothing. Hanging closet organizers and fabric shelves help use vertical space, but take up the already tiny closet.

Volta Storage enters this landscape as a purpose-built solution for small living spaces. Unlike these existing categories, it combines a slim 6-inch profile, front-facing, accordion-style access, and built-in separation of clothes into individual pockets. This allows VoltaStorage to deliver the core attributes students care about most—space efficiency, quick access, and lasting organization—in a single, dorm-ready product.
